Decorating Ideas Featuring LED Strip Lights

 In LED Lighting

Decorative lighting has always been a great way to redecorate without embarking on a major project, and now that LED strip lighting has evolved, it may be the greatest thing to hit home decor since polished brass.  These are just a few of the places that are perfect for the beautiful new ways to use LED strip lighting in and around the home.

Walk-in closets
Many homes have walk-in closets, but it’s generally only in the most expensive houses that builders and designers take the time to adequately light them. Take hours off your wife’s dressing routine by installing useful and attractive LED strip lighting in the shelves. They give spaces the look of a high-end boutique while making it much easier to see if those shoes really match that dress.

Rec rooms
Basements are the perfect space for messy and noisy recreation rooms, but they can be dark and dreary places if not outfitted right. LED strip lights can add plenty of light and fun at the same time and can be applied to several areas in the room to create the fun and relaxing environment we all want in the rec room. Use strip lighting along the baseboard to add lightness to the room and make it feel more spacious.

Have a strange niche or recessed areas in the wall? Add strip lighting and make these eyesores focal points instead. And of course, there is no better place for LED strip lights to add a fun atmosphere than under the bar.

Decks and patios
Decks and patios are made for LED strip lighting. The exposed architecture makes it easy to hide the business end of things and show only the fantastic effects of your new lighting design. Line the handrails and outside edges with strip lights to create a great light show for passersby while increasing the safety of your deck or patio. If you’re lucky enough to have a deck with curves, use flexible LED strip lights and add your own special touch, whatever the shape.

Recessed ceilings
Cove lighting is easy enough to add to an existing home, but there are other ceiling options for LED strip lighting too. Maybe you need real light, not just something pretty to look at? There’s a solution for that. Solar tube lighting is available with LED strip lights within the tube structure. The lights are low profile enough to allow natural daylight to pass by without shadows, but can be turned on at night to provide the illusion that daylight is still streaming into the room via the tube light.
