New York Coworking Space Switches to LEDs to Meet City’s Building Efficiency Requirements

Flexible workspace provider Spaces received state-of-the-art and energy efficient, human-centric light fixtures to meet New York City’s building efficiency requirements.

Spaces teamed up with Brooklyn-based LED lighting distributor and project company Wavelength Lighting to install 124 of Wavelength’s LED light fixtures throughout their 33,000 square foot Meatpacking location at 413 West 14th Street.

The lighting package includes direct and indirect linear light, emergency lighting, exit signs, and temporary lighting for continued construction. Spaces installed tunable lighting and control systems throughout the common area, making it easy for occupants to control the color and brightness of the lighting in the space.

The installation of LED lighting will contribute to the overall wellbeing of professionals using the space, reduce its carbon footprint, and help Spaces meet New York City’s building efficiency requirements, including the lighting provisions under Local Law 88.
