As USIlluminations gets closer to our 2 year anniversary on March 11th,  we take a look back at some of the projects we’ve done that have helped clients conserve energy, reduce maintenance costs and enhance their work environments.

Today, we look at three of our retail clients.

Parking lot lighting, indoor lighting and exterior lighting make up a large part of a retailers electric bill. Upgrading to energy efficient lighting will increase the safety and aesthetics of a store. A brightly illuminated store, inside and out, will appeal more to a customer. Lighting can also enhance the visual appeal of a retailer’s products and displays.

• Replaced (155) 400w MVRs with F54T5HO fixtures. That switch provided a 34,720 watt savings!
• Retrofit with kits (55) F96T12HO 2 lamp fixtures with F28T8/SPX 4 lamp fixtures. Those fixtures went from using 14,135 watts to using 5,288 watts – a 8,847 watt savings.

First Year ROI (after rebate): 736%

• Retrofit with kits (18) F96T12HO fixtures with (3) F28T8 fixtures. By using energy efficient lights, those fixtures have a 4,338 watt savings.
• Replaced (300) 150w Par38s with (135) 18w Par30s. That’s a 42,570 watt savings!

• Retrofit (30) F40T12 4 lamp fixtures with (26) F28T8/SPX 4 lamp fixtures – providing a 2,760 watt savings.
• Retrofit (21) F40T12 2 lamp fixtures with F28T8/SPX fixtures. That’s a 1,872 watt savings.
