USI Employee Spotlight: Tonya Jefferson

• Before working at USI what was your most unusual or interesting job that you had?
My most interesting job was at a company called Conferon. They are a meeting planning and events company. We traveled all over setting up events, I had never been on a plane until my first event which was in DC.
• What are you currently binge watching?
Gangs of London on Netflix. 
• If you could have any superpower what would it be?
To grow money on trees. If you have kids, you would understand why this is important.
• What is one food that you cannot resist?
Potatoes in any form.
• Where is your favorite place to be?
By the water. Beaches, pool, it doesn’t matter.
• What is the best piece of advice that you have ever received?
Never bring sand to the beach.
• If you had 1 free hour each day, what would you do?
Sleep. I work a lot, so I don’t get much down time, so sleep would be amazing.
• What is your favorite part about working for USI?
Flexibility to work from home.
• What has been your favorite project at USI?
I’ve only had a couple; I can’t label them just yet.
• If you could add one thing to the USI office, what would it be?
A tequila fountain.
• People would be surprised if they knew what about you? 
I own my own business. YaYa J Cooks, I cater and do grab and go meals.
• What is the first thing you would buy if you won the lottery?
Shoes.
• What was the best concert you ever attended?
Go Maxwell at the Palace Theater in Cleveland. It was around 2001/2002.
• What are you passionate about?
Life. I’ve done a lot over my years and right now I am just enjoying the moments as they come.
• What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done?
Zipline across Royal Caribbean cruise ship. It was my first time trying it.
• What’s the best meal you’ve ever had?
My oldest daughter makes the best Cajun Chicken Pasta.
